Dr. Pedro Iván PALOMINOS is currently Provost of the University of Santiago of Chile. He holds a Bachelor Degree and a Professional Degree in Industrial Engineering at the Uni-versity of Santiago of Chile. He also holds a M.Sc. Degree in Engineering Production at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and a Dr. Degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of Catalunya, Spain. Dr. Palominos has done teaching and research in Operations Management and Metaheuristics.
