Students’ Engagement and Active Participation During the Pandemic
Elena Ancuța SANTI, Gabriel GORGHIU, Costin PRIBEANU 5
The mobility constraints due to the coronavirus COVID19 disease forced the universities to go online. Although online learning is familiar to students, online teaching and learning during the pandemic is something else. First of all, is like distance education when online teaching and learning is the only option. Extant research shows many disadvantages of exclusive online learning, such as lack of attention, decreased motivation, boredom, mental stress, and fatigue. Nevertheless, after two years of teaching and learning from home, teachers and students had time to adapt. This research is exploring the perceptions of students as regards online school with a focus on engagement and learning autonomy. A research model has been developed, analyzing the main factors that influence the students, engagement, and active participation. The model has been tested on a sample of 326 university students in autumn 2021. The results show that the best way to keep students engaged is to stimulate communication with the teacher and other students and to adapt online courses to be interactive, attractive, and motivating.

Efficiency and Performance of Big Data Analytics for Supply Chain Management
Elena PUICĂ 16
This paper aims to clarify the problem of Supply Chain Management (SCM) efficiency in the context of universal theoretical reflections relating to SCM and analyze the correlation be-tween Big Data Analytics and the efficiency and performance of the supply chain. An adequate SCM has to be cost-effective (economic efficiency), functional (reducing processes, minimizing the number of links in the SCM to the necessary ones), and ensuring high quality of services and products (customer-oriented logistics systems). The efficiency of SCM is not only an activity for which the logistics department is in charge, as it is a strategic decision taken by the man-agement regarding the method of future company operation. Correctly organized and fulfilled logistics tasks may advance the performance of an organization and the whole SCM. Essential enhancements in SCM efficiency may be ensured by analyzing theoretical models on the strate-gic level and implementing a selected concept.

Developing a Network Design for a Smart Airport Using Cisco Packet Tracer
Ahmed Imran KABIR, Sriman MITRA, Suraya AKTER, MD Rakibul ISLAM, Soumya Suhreed DAS 25
The fast-changing world is evolving towards automation rapidly every day, and a good network system is inevitable anywhere to properly manage an automated system. Before implementing a network system, it is necessary to visualize and learn a protocol to understand in depth about the network system and identify the issues among the system. Packet Tracer is a cross-platform visual simulation tool designed by Cisco Systems that allows users to create network topologies and imitate modern computer networks. It helps network developers to design prototype models as well as provides a virtual network simulation platform that help to simulate projects and observe its efficiency in the real world. In this research, the authors have developed a prototype of network design of an airport using Cisco Packet Tracer. The process that depicts how network system will work in real life is explained and the simulation of data transmission is provided.

Mobile Cloud Computing and Payments
Ion-Costel-Marius BĂLȚOI 39
In recent days, mobile technologies, cloud technologies and payments technologies have evolved to the point they make daily life very easy. The combination of these technologies provides high quality services in a very simple and user-friendly way. Payments services are one of them and by using them together with mobile cloud technologies results in a top high-quality service. In this article we will make an analysis on the architecture of mobile cloud computing technology. The article also presents how to integrate the two emerging technologies, as well as a comparative analysis between two electronic payments processors: Braintree and Stripe.

The Current Scientific Stage of The Instruments and Methods Needed for an Efficient Traffic Management System Based on AI
Florin ANDREESCU 46
An efficient traffic management system based on AI has to address several main objectives like significant reduction of overall congestion levels in the city and dynamic pathways generation for emergencies and government using intelligent informed and self-unlocking intersections. Such a system must consider also future trends and challenges like autonomous vehicles, automated courier services, and flying vehicles in the city. This type of management is a complex objective that aims at both the optimization of flows and the optimal response to disturbances and crisis situations. This study investigates the current scientific stage of the instruments and methods needed for architecture, design, construction, and implementation of an informatics management system based on AI able to solve such a complex goal.
