Decision-Making for Crisis Management of Power Distribution Networks
Amir Hossein JAHANIKIA, Vahidreza YOUSEFI, Ehsan MEHRABANFAR, Negar KAVOOSI KHOSROWSHAHII 5
This paper suggests a model to solve crises in power distribution network by using spreadsheets in order to make an optimum decision in this regard. Importance of crisis management in power distribution network is investigated from various aspects. Reductions in off times and immediate returns of power, as well as undistributed energy along subscribers` satisfaction are parameters considered in crisis management power distribution network. This paper solves a case about this issue by spreadsheets in order to provide a new model for decision makers to facilitate solving these kinds of problems.

Software Architectures – Present and Visions
Cătălin STRĪMBEI, Octavian DOSPINESCU, Roxana-Marina STRAINU, Alexandra NISTOR 13
Nowadays, architectural software systems are increasingly important because they can determine the success of the entire system. In this article we intend to rigorously analyze the most common types of systems architectures and present a personal opinion about the specifics of the university architecture. After analyzing monolithic architectures, SOA architecture and those of the micro- based services, we present specific issues and specific criteria for the university software systems. Each type of architecture is rundown and analyzed according to specific academic challenges. During the analysis, we took into account the factors that determine the success of each architecture and also the common causes of failure. At the end of the article, we objectively decide which architecture is best suited to be implemented in the university area.

Informatics Solutions for Smart Metering Systems Integration
Simona-Vasilica OPREA, Ion LUNGU 28
In this paper different aspects regarding smart metering systems integration have been depicted. Smart metering systems, renewable energy sources integration and advanced tariff systems implementation require informatics solution that could automatically collect and process data, forecast the behavior of electricity consumers, analyze trends regarding electricity prices, optimize the consumption of consumers, provide friendly interfaces, etc. They are advanced technologies that represent solutions for insufficient conventional primary energy sources, gas emissions, dependency on energy sources located outside European Union and issues related to energy efficiency. This paper mainly describes several informatics solutions correlated with operational requirements for smart metering system and our proposal for simplified architecture of smart metering systems, with three distinct levels (base level, middle level and top level) and load profile calculation methods.

A Semantic Web Solution for E-Government Educational Services
Sabina-Cristiana NECULA 43
This paper presents a solution for public education services. The problem: although there is sufficiently publicly available data, this data is not available in an open standard format and frequently it comes from heterogeneous data sources. Our main contribution consists in integrating this data and making it available for citizens in realizing their queries. We approach the necessity by referring to current problems such as information overload, benefits for citizens and Open Data initiative. We present our Semantic Web solution. We conclude by presenting the benefits for E-Government in terms of content creation, content generation and user satisfaction.

Considerations Regarding Business Intelligence in Cloud Context
Mihaela MUNTEAN 55
This paper explores one of the newer challenges related to the field of Business Intelligence: cloud-based business intelligence. The purpose of this paper is to investigate how business intelligence and cloud computing could be used together to provide agility in business. Also, the paper presents briefly the different deployment models for cloud-based BI such as: BI software as a service (BI SaaS) and business analytic platform as a service (BA PaaS). The paper gives an overview of the current state of cloud-based business intelligence market and presents a comparative analysis between the cloud-based BI leaders, using the different criteria. Finally, the paper identifies the strengths and weaknesses of cloud-based BI.

Standard Interfaces for Open Source Infrastructure as a Service Platforms
Andrei IONESCU 68
To reduce vendor lock-in and fragmentation and to evolve into a transparent platform, IaaS platforms must adhere to open standards. All the major open source IaaS Platforms offer interfaces compatible with the de facto standards but mostly lacks support for the de jure, open efforts of standardization. Available implementations of open standards are not part of their main development efforts. More development resources as well as consolidation of open standards are needed to achieve increased portability and interoperability.

Improving Business Intelligence Applications by Using New Generation of Web and Mobile Technologies
Mihaela-Laura IVAN 81
The current paper presents an overview about the combination of the new technologies like: SAP HANA, SAP UI5 and SAP Fiori. There are presented the many advantages of which the final user can benefit, such as: fast performance when querying a request, data modelled with the last database innovation of SAP, SAP HANA database, which brings the biggest feature which is in-memory processing. This in-memory computing of SAP HANA enables people to focus on innovation. In the third section are described two examples of web and mobile applications developed with these technologies.

Social Sustainability Achievement through Mobile GIS Applications Development and Audit
Cosmin TOMOZEI, Cristian AMANCEI 90
This paper aim is to determine a reliable way for the mobile health applications engineering, reengineering and audit, for the achievement of social sustainability. This research implied the constructive analysis of health applications of several types, by means of scientific databases, in which GIS and mobile applications for health were presented. Secondly, the use of mobile devices and GIS applications for senior citizens have been taken into account so as to create efficient ways of communication and processing of medical and spatial data. These types of applications should provide help and support for people in need and assist the decision makers, both patients and health specialists for the assurance of the quality of life as well as the seniors’ autonomy. A detailed presentation of the results of this research was included in a lecture at the Hanzehogeschool University of Applied Sciences of Groningen, Netherlands, within the Erasmus+ European teaching program in May 2015.
